Preventing Gender-Based Violence in Lima as COVID-19 Heightens Incidence

Bloomberg Associates provided strategic guidance and technical assistance to help the city launch a month-long domestic violence awareness campaign, “No Estás Sola #ActuemosAhora” (You Are Not Alone #Let’s Act Now), aimed at helping women better understand the different types of gender-based violence and empowering them to call the local government for support — and encouraging all members of society witnessing violence to step in and help.

Lima, like many other cities around the world, has suffered a surge in reported domestic violence cases due to increased time at home and the psychological and economic toll of the pandemic. Bloomberg L.P.’s Global Marketing and Design team designed the creative assets, which were shared via social media, radio stations, and advertisements across malls, bus stops, and trains.
